WeaningFinger foods
Iv started my girls on finger foods, but it scares me so much that im not very adventorus with what i give them. They have had those organic carrot stick crisps and rice cakes. Does any1 have any good ideas for finger foods that wont break off easily in there mouth and make them choke!
do u let them eat the foods or just play? my hv came the other day and said for me to give some finger food just to play and that with but if she goes to swallow it take it out. she suggested carrot like u said but cut long ways if u get me, and toast x
I give it to my two and they put it straight to there mouth and eat it, well suck it till its nothing! I havent given them carrot yet,i ment i give them those carrot flavour crisps tht melt. I was suggsted toast fingers but im worried they will chew a big piece off!!!
hiya, just some ideas....... grated cheese, tuna, scrambled egg, omlettes, things like dairylee dippers, kids hot dog sausages in a tin (asda do them with hidden veg)really ripe large peeled pear chunks (so they hold it) melon chunks, strawberries, thick peeled slices of cucumber my lo liked to suck on.
it is a worrying time, and i would say for you and your little ones best interest, get you hv or someone to advise you on how to deal with a baby that has got something stuck, once i was showed i felt more confident myself in feeding my lo finger foods.
Thanks for all those ideas, going to try something new each day!! (and b brave!! )xx
