Does anyone have any advice on the best things to start giving my baby when she is ready for finger foods? What age is best to start with finger foods? Thanks
raw carotts, celery, boiled egg, bread sticks, tomatoes, sliced boiled pototoes, toast there are loads more foods that r on sale in shops for first finger foods
hope this helps
cubes of well cooked root veg (sweet pots, swede, parsnip...)
Grated cheese, cottage cheese (messy!)/soft cheese cubes
well cooked green beans
grated apple/pear
'organix carrot sticks' are a one of my boys favourites, in most supermarkets, also, try Heinz 'bisscotti'.

Any foods that baby can mash between they're gums... a baby can't chew untill the molars come through at the back.
When you're baby is able to pick up toys is a good time to introduce finger foods as it improves thier hand-eye co-ordination.
