If you're currently giving Emma* infant milk, then this is fine to keep on using up until 12 months. Similarly, if you're giving her follow-on milk, then you can keep on using this up to the age of 24 months. You can offer cows' milk anytime from 12 months as a main drink, but do be aware that it is low in important vitamins and minerals such as iron and vitamins A and D, which your baby needs a lot of at this important stage when she is growing so much. As Emma* develops into a toddler, you could also consider giving her a fortified growing-up milk, which contains nourishing vitamins and minerals to help meet her growing needs, as part of her overall diet.

i put my daughter on too cows milk at 12 months and she was having none of it would not touch it, so i started to mix the formula with the cows milk slowly changing the amount of each in the bottles untill she was totally on too cows milk and have had no problems since i started with a 9oz bottle and had 8oz of formula and 1oz of cows milk and just slowly increased the cows milk and decreased the formula, i am sure the main reason for it is because formaula milk tends to have a sweeter taste than cows milk and so to normally have a seewtish milk to suddenly not having it is quite a shock and a very different taste. i hope this helps

My son has been drinking cows milk since he was 12 months old, but due to ecsaema (excuse the spelling!) I tried him on goats milk, not only is it easier to digest but he prefers it to cows milk and seems a lot more settled at bedtime.

My son is 17 months, he will not have anything in his bottles except formula, I have tried not putting as much formula in as supposed to so watering it down, but he throws it at you.I brought new bottles still no joy, juice, sugar water, tea, cocoa is a no no, but he will drink any contents from his brothers bottles although he will not drink from them all the time.I never would have thought you could mix formula with cows milk so I will give this a go...fingers crossed.
Thank you for your help
