WeaningScreams when pooping....
Hi there,
Just after some advice about my 8 month old. He's on his finger food and lumpier food now but it seems to of made his poo turn very hard and painful for him to pass. The HV tells me this is completely normal cos of the change of food, and ive tried all her suggestions like prune juice, orange juice, prunes...and then we went to the docs who put him on Lactulose, but then when we come off it we're back to square one?! He has a very healthy diet and always had fruit for lunch, veg for dinner and wheetabix for breckie. Has anyone else heard the rumour about Wheetabix making them struggle to poop as i thought it would b the opposite? thanks! xx
yes it is normal for it to happen when they are on solids but no, i havent heard that about weetabix - i always thought it would help. perhaps try porridge for breakfast for a while and see if that makes any difference. make sure you offer plenty of water also
