Useful informationphantom kicks
Hiya. Just read about someone else having phantom kicks and i t got me thinking. Does anyone have any idea what it is. Ive been having them for ages now exactly how they felt when I was pregnant. If there was any chance I could be pregant I would genuinly believe I was based on that feeling. But ive been having them for 20 months now lol so think that would be one big baby!! lol. Like I said just wondered if anyone had same thing or knew what it was even about. To be honest newver really thought bout it till now.
does it happen when you are awake?
all i know is that between having my first baby and falling pregnant with my second, sometimes when i was asleep i would feel kicks but it was more than just dreaming, they felt very very real and for a few minutes after i woke in the morning i could still remember exactly what the kicks felt like. now during the time i am awake if i try to think about exactly what a kick feels like i cannot remember or imagine the same sensation - it only happened when i was asleep and as i say it is incredibly real. the same as you really - you would think you are pregnant when you are feeling the kicks.
i had my second baby 20 days ago and even during the time i am awake i cannot remember exactly what those kicks feel like. i havent felt the "kicks" at night time since she has been born, but it has only been a very short time!
Do you think that subconsciously you want another baby? I've been trying for almost 10 months now and sometimes get those feelings - I've done pregnancy tests when I know that I can't be pregnant because of them! Don't know if its psychological because I want another baby or if its just wind! But its very strange. Its more flutters than kicks though in my case. It seems like it's quite common though :-))xx
I HAD THIS i was completely convinced i was pregnany but like u i thought omg this is gona be one big blood baby! i had it right up until i fell pregnant 2nd time (almost 2 years)
i actually went to the dr about it coz it was bothering me so much.
i was told that its really common its wear everything has moved and stretched etc from pregnancy its most likely wind and u can feel it moving around and popping and bubbling through ur bowels.
but dr did also say that they were not completely 100% sure on this but his was their best most educated guess.
hope this helps u, its really weird and really threw me x
Hey, thanks for your comments everyone. I thought I might just be a bit weird so its nice to hear that other people have had the same thing and it quite common lol. As far as I know it only happens when im awake but clearly it is just wind :s lol although the description of it wasnt very comforting :) lol :p
