Useful informationLess milk in breast..?
Hi,im feeding my 2 weeks old babygirl by bootle (i use pomp cos she dont wont breast) and from few days i see she eat more for exemple every 3 hours 100 mll but now what i can pomp its not enough-between 70-80 mll.Should i give her more?-maybe 30 mll SMA?I have powder SMA...any advice?thanks
If she needs more and you arn't producing it then by all means top up with formula, we found the sma to rich and went onto c&g milk, but if you've already got sma give it a go, good luck xxxx
This will only decrease your milk supply, leading to premature weaning. If you haven't already, I would urge you to do whatever you can to get baby to drink straight from the breast. Talk to La Leche League (free!)(llli.org) or a lactation consultant. A baby's suckling will draw milk from the breast infinitely better than any pump can. If you still can't get her to breastfeed directly, LLL or a certified LC will still be your best bet--and totally worth it--to ensure you are giving your daughter as much mama's milk as you can.
