teething trouble sleeping

my 7month old daughter has one tooth already however this past wk she has gone really clingy and more so at night so much so that i put her to bed at 8.30pm and within an hour she's awake as soon as i pick her up she falls straight back to sleep and this can continue all night, last night she slept the whole night in my bed with me and didnt wake once, my poor husband had to sleep in the spare room....is this normal behaviour? and what can i do to get her to sleep again in her own bed, i just dont want her to get used to being in my bed with me,please help me......

i know im so tired.. im up and down every hour and a half to 2 hours all night...
the health visitor said let her cry she will go back to sleep but i cant im a puss and apart from that my daughter has to get up for school and hubby for work that really wouldnt be fair.. she has never cried herself to sleep and wouldnt understand.. she also said try her with a pillow under her sheet, as she has never been able to sleep flat either .. and could be wind waking her then she realises she not in my bed... so i still dont know but i dont really believe in letting her cry herself to sleep at 7 months when she never has before and i think bedtime should be relaxing and a settled time not distressing or upsetting time.. might try the pillow under her sheet but im a bit wary but then she sleeps on hubbys when hes in work???

after all this time of very little sleep as Samantha has been teething and spending the night in and out of my bed we had our first full nights sleep in over a month well she did anyway i lay awake waiting for her to wake up???
she had paracetamol at half 7 as she was pulling her ear... and a munch bunch yoghurt..
a bottle at 8 with 5 ml of gripe water as she get wind which disturbs her (dont normally give her grip water)
and put a fleece over the sheet on the bottom of her cot so she wasnt going from a warm cuddle to a cold bed..
i took her to bed at 9pm instead of 8 for a quiet cuddle in bed which is our quiet time she fell asleep in half hour which has been taking over an hour some nights..
put he in her cot and she woke at 10pm instead of picking her up i lent in and gave her a cuddle then sat patting her bottom and rubbing her back till she fell asleep which took just a few minutes.. and she slept through till 5 30am when she had wind then went back off till 7 45am... put her dummy back in once or twice, but i can live with that after the last month soooooooo pleased hope its not a one off

lets hope it isnt a one off hon, so glad you got a result....i put grace down last night at 8pm and she slept till 9pm a whole hour i did dtart to get giddy thinking id cracked it..lol..anyway i went up to calm her dwn she fell asleep but as soon as i put her back in her cot she woke up so like you i tried to soothe her by rubbing her tummy and shushing her at one point i thought it was working as she calmed right dwn and shut her eyes but then she must of realised and started screaming again so i brought her dwn stairs for a bit until she clamed dwn we then went to bed at 11pm and yes straight into my bed she was asleep until i placed her in my bed on my husbands pillow(he's working away) went to the bathroom and yep you guessed she woke up screaming, i quickly got into bed and calmed her dwn again, she did sleep better as atleast i didnt have to have my arm around her alnight she really settled and slept till 8am i had a good sleep too, im hoping it will get back to normal soon as i dont know what we're going to do when my hubby gets back home....and reading what you have put about the wind thinking back on the nights when she has woken she has had wind so maybe its that too i'll try the grip water,i'll keep my fingers croosed for you that you have another good night tonight.....cheers...x

oh the pillow thing i put a pillow under the fleece i know she young but the hv said to try so she wasnt flat cant prop her cot as its on wooden floor and if i raise the mattress it wont meet the end and shes a wriggler so decided on the pillow but i fits side to side of her cot and was under the fleece and held tight think that helped too ..
