nappy rash!

my 5 month old developed nappy rash last week...she has painful open sores
started using metanium cream which has slightly helped but despite very frequent nappy changes etc its just not clearing up(it doesnt look like thrush)......does anybody have any advice or reccomendations on new /different creams out there ?
poor little thing is in so much pain and docs dont seem to be able to offer much help.....thank you

Hi, I used sudocrem with my first baby and it cleared her nappy rash when teething but didn't touch my sons so changed to metanium which worked for him, bepanthen is supposed to be good but haven't used it myself.
However I read on another forum that the best thing is raw egg white! Yucky I know but its supposed to be great! :-)))xx

hi Ive always tired Ashton & parsons infant powders work,my son gets very sore nappy rash, its a herbal powder just pop it in their tongue, just been reading the box you can only give half a powder for under six months, just go to your chemist and ask them,or asda always do them.xxx `

Sudocream didn't work for my baby either but Metanium did help a little. Didn't like using it though as I like natural baby care products, Mama natures tiny troubles baby oils are great for nappy rash and cradle cap and last ages.
