hi. My daughter is nine weeks old atm and i really want to get her christened but i dont know where to start. can anyone give me any advice on where to start with arranging it? ive tried ringing around a few different churches but not had much luck. its a bit hard cause some churches say that both parents need to be christened and my partner isnt so it rules them churches out straight away. and theres so many different churches (C of E, baptist, methadist, etc) i dont know which is the best choice, i was looking at C of E but then i was christened at a baptist church so i dont know which is better for my daughter or whether it will make much difference which type of church. its such big choice.
Please help, thank you

sunday get a feel of the place talk to minister ask his advice what is best. i think the like you to go to church for a bit. if you are baptist you could find a church i dont think it makes a diffence abou father i just went ot organise it mysel and didint mention him but he could be baptisted if he wanted? sorry not much help but hope all goes well for
you xx
Hi, im planning my childs baptism too. I havent been baptised and I asked my minister if i could be baptised at the same time, they have been so accomodating, now both of us will be baptised and there will only be us on the day, no other baptisms, which is a relief. Approach your minister and ask them, trying out a few to see who you are most comfortable wtih. As your little one is only 9 weeks i feel you have plenty of time to make your choice, ensuring its the right decision for you and your family. Please dont worry about this or get stressed, being a mum can be hard enough without adding pressure on yourself. GOOD LUCK.
