hi
does she like her hugs because you might find that is what she wants but you will not want to get her in to hugs when she is sleeping because it is a pain to get them out of it as i know i did it with my 1st with my 3nd that tryed it i got her bedding and huged it around her so she thinks its me
hope that helps

Hi Angie,
My lo is 9weeks 2moro & we were having problems putting her down to sleep too. She would only go to sleep if we were cuddling her & then we'd have to hold her for about half an hour before we could put her down. Just over a week ago we decided we needed to get her out of this so I gave her a last bottle, winded her then took her into the nursery to get changed. (She's not sleeping in her own room yet but the changing unit is in there!) I changed her nappy, put her babygro on then took her into our room. I gave her a kiss, layed her down & covered her with her blanket then turned the light out & went back into the living room. For about half an hour she was kicking about & making noises but not crying & eventually she fell asleep. We've followed this same routine ever since & only had a couple of nights were she's been unsettled & we've had to cuddle her to sleep!! I think it'll maybe just take a bit of persistence, try laying her down in her bed & leaving her for 5minutes (if she's crying - if not leave her for longer!) then the next night leave her for a bit longer, carry on like this & she should soon learn to settle herself to sleep!!
Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes!
