SleepingNight feeds
Hiya all, my 4 month old baby takes approx 6-7oz milk every 3 hours between about 7am and 7pm but in addition to this wakes up about 3am and i give another feed then of about 6-7oz before he goes back to sleep. Should i start replacing this one with water in the hope that he sleeps through or is it too early for that? Just wondering if i have to stop the habbit of night feeds or wait until he just doesnt wake up for it anymore? Any feedback appreciated
hi is your lo finishing all his feeds? if so try spreading them out to 4 hours or perhaps her ready for weaning if you not already started, try giving him couple spoonfuls of baby rice with his last feed. I know hv say 6 months for weaning but some babies need it before then. hope this helps xx
he does seem like a hungry little baby! 6-7oz every 3 hours is quite a lot...by 4 mths my daughter was feeding every 4 hours - remember all babies are different tho. it may be worth you introducing a couple of spoons of baby rice cos he does seem to be hungry and then seeing if he can spread his feeds out a bit more (even if only by 30 mins). they do advise not to wean until 6 months, but most babies wont make it that far - my cousin got her daughter to 5.5 mths but that is the longest i have ever known a baby to wait!
