I can now say that my 4mnth old (nearly 5mnths) is finally sleeping through the night. If you ask me how I did it, I honestly cant say. I tried everything from the Gina Ford routine to letting her cry but to no avail and just like that a week ago she went to bed at 7pm, I woke her up for her 10:30pm bottle and by 11:30 back in cot and sleeping until 7am next day. I am of course holding thumbs this last but as I said I have had a good night sleep for 1 whole week and am loving it. So for all you moms out there, remember there is hope just dont give up.
congrats!_my son has been sleeping 7pm-7.30am since he was 4weeks old.he used to have a bottle at midnight (hasnt for bout 2month now)_hes also 5 month ,i didnt get him into his sleep routine,he did it himself when we were on holiday lol._sarah
That's brilliant !! My son is 6 months on Friday and is NOT sleeping through,,,,,,,it's tough !! I have tried everything too and like you, to no avail ! He is getting a little better though, he is now on three lots of solids a day and is having longer stints of sleep. Since he has been having a solid tea at around 4.30pm - 5pm and a few onces of milk at 6.30 ish he is only waking once, and it could be 4.30 - 5am so hopefully soon he will a bit longer. I think like your son its something he will do on his own,,,,,,,,well hopefully !!
Congratulations !!

Joanne1969_stick to the routine, try putting your son in a louder inviroment when he's sleeping during the day&dont let him sleep too long._my son only sleeps 60-80 minutes during the day all together._at 10am 1pm 5pm and bedroutine from 6pm,bed by 7 ._and if you can try and put your son to bed awake.it breaks your heart when he cries but it'll make things easier in the long run.__hope this will help?? _SARAH X
