Feeling down

I started expressing some milk today and did 2 5oz bottle so my oh could feed and bond with baby but his mother keeps saying that he needs extra food like risks and that I should put it in the bottle with milk. I keep telling her that he's not hungry all the time and that I've got more than enough milk but over the past few days it's been getting me down. My oh says he's not hungry to his mum but she carries on anyway. It makes me feel like I can't provide for my child at all. The problem is we live in her house and are looking for a place of our own.

I know she's just trying to help and give advise but its getting me down and I'm doubting myself a bit. But there's helping but it's always the same thing over and over day after day. I feel like I'm gonna snap and tell her to shut up.

Thanks for listening, rant over

Xx

Hey :-)

Only you knows whats best for your little one, try not to let it get you down!! I agree 9 weeks is toooo young for rusks anyway! If your baby was hungry then im sure you would be the one to know as your the mummy!!! x

Oh dear, She sounds like a very pushy woman. I would say don't let anyone cloud your judgement. She's had her time, tell her you appreciate her suggestion but you can tell he is not hungry as you are with him all the time and know the signs. The quicker you speak up, hopefully the quicker she'll back down.
Good luck,
LK
