Hi,I'm a final year journalism student and a new mum to 17week twin boys, Noah and Lucas. I'm looking for mums, dads, midwives, experts,etc- who will be willing to share their experinces, opinions or views on pregnancy and baby related topics for my final year project. It's due in soon but the twins are making it very difficult for me to find time to start it!
I plan to do four articles adressing different subjects-
Pregnancy myths (common misconceptions, old wives tales, conflicting studies in the media)
Breastfeeding vs bottle feeding (reasons why mums choose not to breastfeed)
Post-natal depression (cases of PND-has anyone got a partner that has suffered from male post-natal depression?)
Midwife shortages in the NHS (have any women chose to give birth in a private hospital or abroad because of this? Any women in the profession?)
Any feedback or interest will be greatly appreciated! Don't worry, these articles are NOT for publication and if you do not want to be directly quoted in the article any information you provide will be confidential- the general opinion/feeling behind a subject will be just as useful when it comes to writing it up.
If you are interested in contributing, you can alternatively email me at: zaria.welcome@sunderland.ac.uk
Thanks everyone!

I just want to say a BIG THANKYOU to everyone who has left posts and shown an interest in my studies! I am still yet to make a real start on my final project (due to personal reasons I won't go into now!) so there is still time for anyone who is willing to get in touch. For those of you who have left an email and are yet to receive a reply- sorry! I'm just snowed under with dealing with the twins and other uni work but I will start getting up to date with my correspondants in the next week-so watch this space!
Hi Zaria, just to say I wish I'd seen this forum earlier but I havn't been on here for
a while. I have a 17 month old and your project looks really interesting. I would love to have gotten involved but im sure it's way too late now! Anyway all credit to you for juggling twin babies and and a uni course - thats quite amazing! Good luck and hope you managed to get your work done. Natasha

Hi Zaria, have only just spotted your post. If it's not too late to help, my email add is clairew28@live.co.uk. I'm 28 and have a 20month old little boy, with my fiance. I have pnd, and am hopefully getting over now.
I breastfed my little boy for a month, although i would have liked to have done it for longer. When i put my son onto bottled milk, there was a major difference in all of our lives. We all managed to get some sleep, which made us all alot happier!
Claire x
It's a shame I missed this a I would ahve liked to have contributed. I'm a 30 year old first time mum of a 4 month old girl. I'm in the Army and since discovering I was pregnant last Jun I've moved home 6 times as far as from Scotland to Bovington on the South coast of England, got married and decided to leave mmy job so my world has completely turned upside down. If you are still working on your project, which I doubt very much I'm more than happy to help, klwest@hotmail.com and congrats on your twins!
