Introduce yourselfCrawling/Walking
Hi
My baby girl is 6 1/2 months old. She doesn't like it when we put her on her front. We have even tired to put one of her favorite thing just out of reach, television remote. She kicks her legs and strains to reach it. Is there anything else I can do to help her. She has always loved standing. I might not put her on the floor as much as I should, I have a herniated disc in my lower back and find it painful to get on the floor a lot with her.
What age did your babies start crawling?
And did any of them not crawl and just go straight to walking?
Thanks

hope this helps some xx
Thanks for the tip, I'll try a cushion under her. We have floor boards downstairs too, so I just put her on her play mat, which she stays on.

hey there, my lil boy didnt start crawling until he was 10 months.
Hiya Kat,
Grace is 9&half months now & still isn't crawling! When she was 6months she hated being on her tummy but is more used to it now & can move round in circles. Se just wont go forwards!! It's so funny to watch but nothing we've done so far will get her going forwards, we've tried putting things just out of reach & holding out our arms to her but she justs get frustrated & puts her head down like she's going to sleep!! She has started pulling herself up at the furnirtue now tough & will walk while holding our hands so I think she might skip the carwling & just go straight to walking! Like Lisac said, all babies develop at different ages so don't worry if she's not crawling yet, she'll do it when she wants to!! :)

hi,my first didnt crawl and started to walk straight away at 10months. my second didnt crawl untill he was over a year and is now walking, he is now 15months. they were both so different as all children are but will walk when they feel ready then all you have to do is work out how to keep them in one place and under controll...so much fun!! it will happen at some point in the near future though and will be so much fun to watch so try not to worry and just enjoy her. not all kids are text book as were sometimes lead to think x
Thanks again ladies.
I don't like comparing my babies to others but her cousin in Australia is 3 weeks younger(6 months) is crawling. And I just wondered if there may be a problem, and as I say I felt guilty cos I cant get on the floor with her as mush as I should. But my mind is put to ease now.

hi mine started to crawl at 7 and a half months .they all start at there own time.i realy woudlnt worry xxx
hi, my baby is just over 7months old, she cries when she is on her front, now and then she will stretch for something for a minute then give up. she hasnt even attempted to move her legs yet.but when she is on her back, she will go from side to side and chew her feet which she loves. i think some babies including my own are just happy to let the fun come to them rather than try themselves, nowt to worry about though. xx
