12 month vaccinations

Hi ladies,my LO had her vaccinations yesterday. She had hib/men c, mmr (1st dose) and PCV. Where she had the PCV it had a red ring around it, I noticed this morning it's doubled i n size. Is this normal?This has never happened before when she's had her vaccinations x

Hi beth, its common to get redness round the jab site from pcv so don't worry. My sons whole leg swelled up after 2nd jabs and it was the DTap/IPV/Hib which he'd already had before with no side effects (other than fever which he gets every time) and hv said it was to do with the body saying 'hang on haven't I already had this' and sometimes the 2nd or 3rd can cause more of a reaction than the first!
If you are concerned or it gets worse then give your gp or nhs direct a call but I think its probably completely normal :-))xx
