Feeding problems and questions

my 10 month old doesn't want milk

Has anyone had this problem?????? When baby was around 8 months old & eating 3 meals a day he went off his bottles but always enjoyed his bed time bottle. He has about 7oz mixed with breakfast & in a cup then dinner & tea with no milk, then 7oz before bed but recently he is refusing his bed bottle or only drinking a bit. He has yogurts & cheese during day but just worries he's not drinking enough milk. Can anyone help??????

Im having the same problem!!! My little girl is 6 months old and now having x3 meals a day which she loves!! But has gone off her bottles!!
She was having x3 8oz at 8am 2pm and 8pm, but now she is only having 5oz in the morning and refused the 2pm one today, im hoping she will drink the one tonight. But only been having 5oz of that lately.
She wont drink juice or water either so like you i was worried she may not be getting enough fluids??

I spoke to my health visitor she said they wean themselves, normal for them to refuse milk when they start solids but should be having at least 20oz per day, he's only having around 10 at the min! He still drinks his water tho, have you tried putting your little ones milk in a cup at meal times that's what they suggested to me it worked at breakfast but he still refused it at dinner & tea.

from 6-12 months old they only need 17-20oz a day, i dont know why your health visitor has said at least 20oz as that is far too much.
dont worry about him only having 10oz - at that age, my eldest daughter was only having 12oz of formula. (bottle in the morning and one before bed). the rest of her milk intake was with dairy products. my hv told me it was fine.

My baby is 8mths now and has 3 meals a day and will only have at least 6oz of milk a day but I try to give plenty of dairy products to make up for it like yoghurts as a snack and putting milk in her porridge. I was a bit worried at first but I think belongs their getting some calcium from dairy products as well it should be OK. She's just started rejecting her night time bottle and I have to give her a yoghurt and a biscotti to get her to go to sleep. Hope this helps.
