Luke is nearly 4 months old. He has been bottle fed since birth and had always been a reasonable eater until recently. He used to take at least 3 7oz bottles a day but now we are lucky if we get 5oz out of him at a time. He is drinking on average 24 - 27oz a day and last time we had him weighed he's only put on 2oz in 9 days.
He seems hungry most of the time, chews on hands alot but whenever we give him a bottle he either cries to start with or cries half way through. We try not to wind him in between the bottle as we have found he won't continue with the feed if we do. He has been sleepier than normal these last few days, could be due to not having much energy as he's not getting the calories from the milk.
Can anyone suggest what I could do? Its started to get me down as I know he is hungry but won't drink. Its almost seems like he is bored with the milk or doesn't really like the taste. He'll drink water once he realises its not milk in the bottle.
hi my baby boy is 3 months old and i have the same problem! he was having 6 oz a few weeks ago and now seems to push the bottle out of his mouth after 3-4 oz!!!i give him the rest of his feed 1 hour later and he seems to take it ok.but i still dont know why hes refusing the rest of his feed. i also dont burp him in between as he wont have the rest of his milk too!!!i dont know what to do either.
