Runny Stools

Hi. My baby is 13 weeks old and still breastfed and also teething. He passes alot of wet nappies throughout the day and occasionaly does 2 - 3 dirty nappies during the week but the dirty nappies are a light brown colour and very runny or watery and quite alot. He seems very happy, active and giggly so it doesn't seem to bother him but was wondering if this because he is teething or is it something for me to worry about?

Hi, teething can cause runny stools because of excess saliva, my son got nappy rash with his and whereas sudocrem cleared up my daughter's it didn't help my son so I had to change to metanium. If he's happy then I wouldn't worry too much about it, but maybe mention it to the health visitor next time you go. Breastmilk is so easily digested - and when he eventually goes onto solids you'll have a whole new poo experience to look forward to!! :-))xx
