General baby healthNappy Rash - Is it because of change of Mill ? Please help !!!
My little boy who is 6 months has just gone onto follow on Milk and the goodnight milk ( both cow and gate) and he has developed nappy rash, his bum is so red, its really upsetting. I have been using sudocrem and have just bought bepanthem hoping that may help too. I am due to see my HV tomorrow so will mention it to her and see if she thinks he needs to go the doc. Do you think the change in his milk is causing this ? He is pooing more and some of them have been a bit runny, but all of this is since I introduced the new milks. I spoke to C&G live chat and they said it probably was and to stop the goodnight milk for now and just have him on the number 3 follow on milk until it clears up, then to re-introduce the goodnight milk later on,,,,,,,,,,any advice welcome as I hate to see his littel bum like this !

i woudl say to do take him off the goodngiht milk.when my daughter became bad ith it recently we eliminated everything til we found out what it was that triggered it.turne out to be the juice my mother in law was giving her.all i did was seriously smother on the sudocrem warm baths every night with no bath stuff in and leaving her every now and then without a nappy on for 10 mins or so.let the skin dry out a bit.
she was in tears screaming just by having a pee bless her but sorted it out after about 4 days doing the above.sometimes just the coolness of being laid with no nappy but a wipe or damp cloth over her was a bit of extra relief.
hope this helps
hi hun
i found a fantastic nappy rash cream when my 9 year old was a baby its called
"conotrane" this is so great ive since used it with my other 3 and the next morning from
the night before you see a very big diffrence its almost gone!
you can buy it for definate in adsa and it cost _1.16. fantastic stuff.
as for the milk i would leave the goodnight milk and just concentrate on number 3.
hope things get better for you and little one.
hugs xxxx
Thanks for the above two posts,,,,,really helpful ! I didn't give him the goodnight milk last night and there has been a HUGE improvement, thank god ! I will check out that cream dbeech and have been smothering his bum in sudocrem too. I will try leaving his nappy off for ten mins or so when he's on the floor too ( on his big blanket which is easily washed) so let the air get at his bits !! I'll leave the bath stuff out too ,,,,,,,thanks again for your advice !
