Hello. My little boy just turned one and for the past few days has been off his food a little and completely refused his bed time bottle. He just seems to be crying and moaning constantly. He also can't seem to sleep and we have finally been getting off to sleep about 5am. I was so worried last night that I rang NHS Direct and was told not to worry, that he was probably teething. He already has 6 teeth which he cut without a problem, his temp is normal and he doesnt have rosy cheeks, though he does have a slightly sore chin. Could this really be just teething??? Would appreciate any advice. Many thanks. Dx
hi there, sorry i cant really help with the sleeping thing but i will say about the milk,my son is 21 months and ever since weaning really it has been hit or miss with all his bottles some days he will cry for them and other days he wont even look at them and wants juice, also he does go through phases where he wont eat not sure why and i used to get really stressed out and worry so much but now i realise he will eat if he is hungry and its true he will, some days he eats like a hourse and other days he eats like a mouse,it maybe teeth but it maybe just a phase that will pass but my son was the same he cut his front teeth with no trouble we hardly noticed but he had trouble with back teeth like he was of food and milk he has the runs and was just really misrable but it did pass, good luck and i hope things get better soon xxxxxxxxx
gosh 5 am when u finally settled him!!! thats madness, i would pop down the drs and get him a check over just incase. does not sound like teeth to me, maybe he got a head ache or some thing. when m,y daughter wouldnt stop screaming i took her dr and it turns out she had ear infection, did u try any calpol? i give brook a tooth brush with bonjella on if her gums are bothering her.
Hi
