Family Christmas???

Hi,
Just thought i'd post as I am going out of my mind thinking this over. I have a beautiful 6 month old daughter who I love more than anything in the world. The thing is I am so excited about her 1st christmas but I feel my partner (her dad) feels no different. He is great with her and misses her when he goes to work but he has always gone out christmas eve with his friends and this years seems no exception. I suppose I feel disappointed that he doesn't seem to want to spend it as a family now. He says she won't know any different but I will. I don't think I'd feel as bad if it was for a couple of hours but it will be until the early hours before he rolls home. He is brilliant in every other way. Am I being unfair or can anyone else see my reasoning? Help!

Hi there, men are a bloody nightmare sometimes and don't understand what all of the sentiment is especially when it comes to xmas, birthdays etc..... But, all you can do really is talk to him and explain how you feel and how for your first xmas as a family you would want him to be there on xmas eve. If he still doesn't get it, don't worry doll, i wouldn't cause an arguement over it as it's not worth it, just make the best out of this situation.......

What about spending some quality time treating and pampering yourself? Get him to buy you (and not as a christmas pressie either!) some pampering products for the bath, get in a bottle of wine and have some of your mates over? Or, even better, have the bottle to yourself!! ha ha

Either way doll, if he's adiment he wants to go out with his mates, take the time to treat yourself and don't let it bother you too much.

Have a good xmas xxxx
