Hi all , my little boy is nearly 20months and I am still having feeding issues with him. I have written on here about it before. If he had his way he would live on sausages, fish fingers or pasta, he does eat my healthy home cooked foods but still prefers them nlended a little. I still can't really get him to eat mince or chicken unless I blend it. Just lately I have taken a stand and refused to blend his food, giving him chicken stew and spag bol just chopped up, but he has a little and then jus5 refuses it. He can chew fine though as he eats fish fingers and sausages fine! And most snack and fruit etc as finger goods so I know he can do it. He is also not self feeding yet, but does the odd spoonful of breakfast, and can use a fork. I was really hoping that by Xmas he would be able to sit at table and eat what we were having, but did a dummy run today with chopped up chicken, veg and roasts etc but it was a disaster, he wouldn't touch it. So upset tonight, feel like a failure. The stupid thing is, I have cooked all his food myself from when he was weaned, and until a few months ago I classed him as a good eater, this was before I wanted him to eat more adult textures. What will I do Xmas day now, he will prob have a sandwich. It might seem silly to some but I am gutted!
