hi shell, so youve tried colief and infacol hmm. i had a colicky baby so heres all i did: wind your lo well after every oz of milk by rubbing his/her back (slaping causes more pain), take baby out in the pram fresh air as the movement can help, warm bath before bed, a swing was my savior dont know if i could have coped otherwise, go for a drive in the car, rubbing their bellies, put them over your knee on belly and rub back, Always keep your baby at an incline by putting pillow under mattress in their bed as it eases the pain for them. thats all i can remember but it does pass. hope this helps.

I tried EVERYTHING, infacol, gaviscon, colosynth granules, gripe water etc. etc. The first five weeks were hell. Mollie was in agony. I tried every bottle on the market. Now I use Dr Browns bottles, Aptamil comfort milk (for colic an constipation) and COLIEF in the bottle half an hou before feeding. Its a miracle. I have a new baby. Happy, content and pain free.Look it up on the net. you can buy it in Lloyds and Boots chemists and can get it on prescription as is quite expensive but honestly fantastic. Aparently colic caused by babies not having the lactase enzyme in their stomach which turns lactose to sugars making digestion easier. Colief is the lactase enzyme which works in the bottle making digestion easier. Good Luck xxxx Baby massage is good too. Mollie was so bad she ended up in hospital so I sympathise with you. xx

My daughter suffered so bad with what the doctors thought was colic or reflux, she was on the comfort-colic and constipation milk although no help. She then went on colief, gaviscon and drugs for reflux, one day she was so bad she had to be admitted to hospital, whilst there she caught a tummy bug and wasnt having any milk so i put her on blackcurrent rehydration relief (dyaralite) when on this she was a different baby! After returning home and putting her back on the milk the screaming banshee returned. Furious that i was told not to change her milk to see if she was lactose intolerant i did it anyway and put her on cow & gate infasoy...miracle! the pain eased off and a happy little girl was found! i then changed her bottles from dr.browns to Nuk and frankly the have seemed to make her ordinary colic much easier to handle. Evie is 10 weeks now and only gets minor colicy pains for about an hour a night which is settled with infacol.

Good luck with it all. It's horrendous. I used to sit there crying whilst my son cried for up to 7 hours at a time. We put him on the Gina Ford routine which turned him into a different baby. I know that routines aren't to everyone's tastes but it worked for us and put our second one on Gina Ford from day one and hardly ever heard a peep out of him!! It does clear up after 3 months but I know that can seem like a long time. You're not the only one and it does get better but when you're going through it it seems never ending. Good luck, all will be fine xx
