hi i was told not to, but when health visitor came and i was bathing him she took over as she was looking at him and she laid him flat in the water i dont do it but thats because he doesn't like it, so im not to sure xx

Yes its fine. At baby swimming lessons you are taught to dunk babies under the water and some newborns swim under water so I can't see why the bath would be any different. I don't do it myself as my 6 month old just turns his head and tries to drink the water!!

thats good to know, i have always wondered, i was told ye midwife not to so nearly had a heart attack when hv did it, might give it ago tonight, if he will not try to roll over that is! thanks beckos learn something new everyday xx
