Breastfeeding

all bf mums plz comment

just wondered what ur routines or lack of routines are!!! all those that are breastfeeding. i've tried to keep note today of when Kaden has fed and slept, he's nearly 19wks. I'm finding it hard still to entertain my 3yr old while he is still so demanding, but am however still loving bf and the goodness he is getting from it.

Hi, I've breast fed both of my little ones and am still breastfreeeding my youngest who is 8 months. I haven't really had any routines with them until they were weaned, just demand fed. Some days that meant feeding all day and other days spread out at reasonable intervals. I wrote down Oscars feeds for a little while to see if any patterns emerged but they didn't! I'm lucky with Oscar as he is a really quick feeder so it doesn't get it the way of spending time with my little girl who has just turned 4. Now that Oscar is weaning, he tends to have BF on waking (5.30-6ish), then BF at 10am, BF at about 2 and them before bed (bed at 7pm). If we are out and about though he isn't really bothered about his milk at 10am and 2pm. I'll probably drop one of them soon as he is eating really well and i'm going back to work end of January (gutted!). I'll carry on until he is at least 12 months and then put him on to cows milk. I can proudly say he has never even had a sip of formula and i'm determined to keep it that way!

my baby is 16weeks. She has settled into a kind of routine herself, she is a very easy baby. i feed her when she gets up 7-8am, then lunch 12-1pm then before she goes to bed which is 6pm. she still gets up once a night for a feed. Which i dont mind as i can hardly expect her to go from 6pm to 8am without.

I breast fed my baby till he was about 17 weeks I planned to keep it up till he was one but it didn't work that way. he would feed constantly 24 hours a day. Sometimes I'd be lucky t get 5 minutes to go to the toilet. He is now on pre term formula milk and is a lot more settled. I loved breast feeding and I really do miss it but for my own health I had to stop :(
