Breastfeeding

I'm breastfeeding but she won't take a bottle of expressed milk

if I want to go out!
Hi, I've been breastfeeding now for over 4 months and she refuses to take a bottle which is very tying if I want to go anywhere without her. Any help or advice? Thanks

hi hun i didnt breastfed but have heard from friends who have its beacuse little lady
can smell the milk on you, try with someone else feeding he with expressed botle and
see what happens. not much good if you are on your own though.

hi...i breastfeed my lo at the moment, what bottles are you using??like dbeech has said try someone else giving her bottle, i have a different problem i cant express any im assuming that as i can feed her she is getting enough but i just cant get enough to express...i tried giving her a bottle today and she just screamed until i breastfed her!!!im sure if you keep trying she will get used to it kind of hoping that works with me as well. Good luck

If she won't take a bottle, try it with a free flow beaker and let someone else feed her. It takes a lot of perseverance, and a lot of expressed breast milk. Good luck, hope this helps

This is quite common, so I believe. Let someone else feed her, and don't even be in the same room when she is being fed. Good luck!

I had this problem with my little boy, he wouldnt take the bottle. But the other day out of the blue I fed him a bottle. I had expressed only a little milk (so not to waste any lol) and put it in my new bottle. I am now using a traditional long bottle with a medium floe latex teat and it now works! I even gave him the bottle so he could still smell my milk! Going to try again tonight and see if he will take more. As everyone has said you need to perservere and its hard work, but hopefully you'll get there in the end.

Thanks for your help girls. I've tried avent and toppee tippee. It's no good if I try but my husband has managed to get a little bit inside her. It's a bit hit and miss but we will keep trying. x
