Can my milk just dry up??

I have noticed over the last few days that DD hasn't seemed to be able to get a good feed off my right breast then today it seemed like she just can't get any milk out of it. . She suckles on it for a few min and then sucks really hard. .
I thought it could have been wind but couldn't get any up, tried different positions but she just did the same thing and then as soon as I put her on my left breast she fed away so I have given her the feed off the left then when she finished offered her the right and she suckled away but I don't know whether she was getting anything out.
I have tried expressing using a hand pump, I got a little (about an oz).
Can my milk just dry up in 1 breast?
Or do you think she just doesn't like it?
What should I do?
Thanks

it can just dry up unfortunately. expressing isnt the same s the baby feeding as baby will be more efficient at getting milk out but if you can only express 1oz then perhaps it is drying on one side. it is possible that she prefers the other side though.
are you making sure you are eating enough. perhaps call a breastfeeding counsellor for advice

what i found was that my lo preferred my right breast so she suckled alot better on that side this resulted in my left breast producing considerably less milk. with my first i got very ilol and my milk did dry up without me realising and my poor girl was being fed for a good couple days on empty breasts .
