they say its approx 12 month of age hun x

Ok roby is 7 1/2months. I still sterilise his milk bottles but i just wash his juice/water beakers and he seems fine with that x

there is lots of conflicting information. I sterilised bottles until i stopped using them at 12 months. However if i had continued to use them i would have carried on. I didn't find it any hardship to do it

i stopped at 10month

hey mw says 1 years old. i stopped at 6 months because my daughter started crawling at 6 months and she was dropping her dummy and bottles everywhere and putting things in ur mouth anyway so didnt see much point in sterilizing. she was completely fine. i did still sterilize the rubber teets tho.
alot of people will probably think this is terrible but i do think u should decide when is best for you and ur baby. i think that UK is way to obssessed with sterilizing everything and over doing it on getting rid of germs!!

Hi, I was advised to sterilise milk stuff until 12 months but food and water bottles can just be washed from 6 months. Like sweetie mummy said, if they are picking up random stuff and eating it then there is not really much point in sterilising! I still BF so don't need to worry about milk stuff but he has been drinking water out of a cup for a few months now. I've never sterilised it and he has been fine. Never sick, no poorly tummies etc. (He has also grabbed old water cups and drank from them before i've been able to take them off him - contitution of an ox!!)

you should still sterilise bottles used for milk until 12mths but i didnt sterilise cups for water or bowls etc. as the others have said once they are active they are picking things up anyway. i actually did stop sterilisng bottles at 10mths and just rinsed bottles with boiled water before i made a feed
