Colic???

Hi all

My baby girl is 11 weeks old and has recently been having problems with wind - she seems to have lots of trapped wind and when I have massaged her tummy she lets out lots!

She is currently feeding on C&G Premium with Avent bottles. I have given her Infacol but this does not seem to be working.

In the last 2 days she has been more unsettled and crying more, and also not been able to sleep during the day. I wind her fine after every feed, but it the bottom wind that seems to be causing her more problems. Her nappies are fine, she has about 2 good runny poos a day!

Any advice - is this colic? What other methods would anyone suggest? I have been reading about Dr Browns bottles and may give those a go.

What about the formula I am using, did anyone with a similar problem change to Comfort and find that it worked?

Hi my son used to scream every evening for about 3 hrs! Pretty horrendous at the time. We found dentinox colic relief to work better than everything else you add it too the bottle and my did he start to produce some good burps!!!I also use avent bottles, and always try to feed with him as upright as possible. He is now 18weeks and has been colic free for about 4weeks now and bedtimes are a dream. I no its really hard but it will suddenly get better I promise you!!!

I have the same problem with my 4 weeks old. She screams in agony and brings up some of her milk. It always seems to be the last bit of wind that gets trapped cos she winds fine until the end of her bottle. I to tries infacol, going to get some gripe water tommorow cos she will be 1 month old. I bought some Dr Browns and they seem to be doing the trick although i might have to get the 2nd teats cos it takes her an hour to have 3 onces.

My baby girl is 7 weeks old and really suffers with wind and she gets really constipated, i wsas on sma gold but changed to aptimil 1st milk and she is going to the loo loads better and I lay her on her front to help bring up the wind. I know it's bad but she gets so much releaf from being on her front she falls asleep, and lately i have been leaving her on her front just to get some sleep myself, before I was only getting a hour tops before she would wake up cos of the wind.
Does anyone else let there babies sleep on there tummy's??

My son suffered with colic badly, and trapped even though we winded him after every feed, we started off with Infacol, when he was a month old we swapped it for gripe water, they can't have that before a month old, we found that really worked, also we have if we lay him on his back for a while so he can wriggle around then when we go to pick him up more often than not he burps and breaks wind on his own, he's also on c&g premuim, hope this helps

My baby is 8 weeks old and is losing weight because of colic, she refuses to take her feeds and screams day and night. I have tried everything avent, dr browns bottles are now on the NUK bottles. Tried dentinox, infacol, colief.... none of them worked. I bought Colic Calm off ebay _25!! that is a godsend and I would reccomend it. I have changed milk from SMA Gold to Aptimal Easy Digest but she seems to have been worse, has anyone found the same on the Aptimal Easy Digest???

Hiya

My baby too suffered with really bad wind. I was using C&G premium but have changed it to C&G comfort which is so much better.(I still give her infacol) She feeds now every 4-5 hours and hardly has any trapped wind. I use avent bottles but have had to buy new teets (3) as 2 and 1 were making it too hard for her as comfort is quite a thick milk. X
