hiya i found it quiet easy to get my daughter off bottles,like you i started giving her water in the day out of a beaker,i got a differnt coloured beaker for her milk and then started to give her milk drinks in it,just starting off with one milk feed a day in it,i didnt have any probs so by a week she was having all her drinks out of beakers,she was 9 months old when i did this nearly 10 months,give it a go with just one milk feed,if she isnt ready yet she will let you know and then just try again in a week or so,my daughter is 18 months old on wednesday and still has her milk in the morning at one before bed and knows which coloured beaker means water or milk,so i cant get them mixed up or she goes mad,i have just had another baby so im back to the old routine of bottles and sterilising again now lol goodluck jo x

Hi ya hun i just got my 15 month old to switch from bottle to beaker. I tried so many times before but he would have a tantrum until i reverted back to his bottles. Last week i took some stuff out of a box to put in the dishwasher (we've had builders in) and the beaker seemed to interest him so i gave it him to play with then the day after i gave him water out of it then the following day his morning milk feed. Once he took the milk feed i threw his bottles out now all his drinks are from the beaker. Like jo i will have to be sterilising bottles soon as baby nr 2 is due in jan. Good luck hun xx
