Gripe Water on C&G Comfort

Hello, we recently moved our 3 and a half month baby only C&G Comfort from SMA Gold Top because she was suffering with wind qute alot - we've been on it now for around 3/4 days, but things still don't seem to be getting any better.

She didn't have a stool yesterday, but the one today was absolutely vile - though I have been reading up on it, and it is like that to start with.. But

But tonight when it came to her 'bed time routine' she just started screaming, and when I say screaming - i mean SCREAMING.

I spent twenty minutes patting her back and rubbing her belly, just for her to release the tiniest burp, and then fall asleep in my arms with tears running down her eyes.

So - back to my question - is it okay for us to still put Gripe Water into her bottle if shes on C&G Comfort?

Thanks.

Trudy

Cow & Gate

Hi there, my name's Trudy and I work here on the Cow & Gate Careline. Sorry to hear your little girl has been in discomfort. Our Comfort formula is for babies who have had a medical diagnosis of colic and/or constipation. It can take up to 2 weeks for a baby to get used to a new formula.
It sounds like you feel your daughter is very uncomfortable, so I would suggest having a word with your health visitor or doctor first and see what they would suggest.
Gripe water is fine to use alongside the Comfort formula (always follow the manufacturer's usage guidelines).
It would be great to have a more detailed chat with you about your little girl's feeding/discomfort, so please feel free to give us a call on freephone 0800 977 4000 (lines are open 24/7) and one of our advisors will be happy to help you.
