HE WONT SAY MAMA!!!!!

my son started saying his first word about a month ago, which was DADA.
he is almost 7 month old.since then we've been on holiday, and been telling his sister hannah off so much , so he started copying and shouting ANN-AH!!
this week hes started saying DADDY , im trying my hardest to get him to say mama , its upsetting me as im the only one doing things with him and for him, all i get back is a massive smile and a DADA, ANN-Ah or DADDY!!!!
my parttner thinks its funny and says joshua loves daddy and hannah more....

is dada really easier to say then mama????? :(

It is easier for babies to say dada first.. dont worry!!!
My lil girl was bout 8 1/2 months before she said mummy. Dont worry about it.. its one of the first sounds they can make which is da.

He'll say it when you least expect it and then wonder what all the fuss was about. My lil girl only ever says mummy when shes tired or in pain lol... other than that all i hear is daddy. lol xx

my daughter up until recently wouldnt call me anything.

i found since i talked about dada with ther when she was at work she knew it by heart in no time.
dont fret.if in doubt find like a hide and seek like game where you say your name might help.
they dont realise bless them that you want them to say it

aww dont worry im sure that will be his fav word when he can say it,my lil girl also 7 months and she has said mama ages ago,i mean she said it twice in 1 day then doesnt say it anymore!or when she is crying its sounds like mmmmumm, when i got her up today honestly as clear as day she said hiya dada!not impressed but had to laugh my hubby was at work and missed it,i had a thought i always talk about my huuby to her in the day when he is at work, like daddy be home soon,so i guess she hears me talk about dada alot but as shes with me all the time i dont always say mama,he will get there then your heart will melt take care jo x

hi, i haven't had my baby yet, due in 5 weeks but from watching nieces and nephew they all said dada first. its easier for them to get their little mouth around. in fact they called any man dada simply cos they recognised a male!! it doesnt mean he loves dada more. its just how little minds work. i wouldnt get upset. just keep saying mama to him so he can see the shape of your mouth and may start to copy it.x
