My little girl was like yours so i took her to the doctors and she prescribed gaviscon infant to prevent regurgitation and help wth babys reflux. It might be worth talking to your gp. Hope all goes well.

My little boy was a nightmare for throwing up his milk even after he had been burped several times. Midwife recommended Gaviscon Infant and also a product called colief. Colief breaks down the milk which helps minimise colic. A combination of both of these stopped the vomiting.

My baby was sick constantly and diagnosed with reflux, I was advised the same milk, it did settle him but I needed medicine to help with sickness and constipation. Things didn't really settle until he was 3.5 months old and I started weaning him under the advise of my paediatrician.

Hello,
I had this problem with my daughter from 8 weeks, she was diagnosed with reflux but my doctor refused to prescribe me with baby gaviscon, I tried loads of different formulas and colic medicines, the one I found best was SMA Staydown (sorry cow and gate) she is now 9mths and although mostly keeps down solids she is still a sicky baby.
all the best

Hi , I have just switched to comfort too. My 9 week old was always very windy and sick after cow and gate premium. She is definatly better with comfort 1 but she also throws up water 1-2 hours after being fed, Is this normal?? She doesn't seem bothered by it.Louise

I first put my son on SMA gold but it upset his tummy and he threw up at least 4 times during a feed. I put him on comfort 1 and it seemed to settle him enough to stay down most of the time.He has now progressed onto the step 2 cow & gate as he no longer needed the comfort but was too hungry on step 1. I think looking back he was suffering from reflux and acid in his stomach was causing his upset, but it seems to have rectified itself fortunately. As for buying it ready made, you can, but my local supermarket was hit and miss if it had it in stock though.

Hello Louise!
I've asked caw&gate advisor about throwing up the water. This is the answer they sent to me.
The fact that your baby is bringing up a water like substance is totally
normal for the Comfort milk. The reason for this is because the protein in
the milk has been partially broken down to aid digestion and the nutirents
are easier absorbed in the body so the end product be it vomit or stools are
both very watery.

Hi, my baby is 12 weeks old and is on Comfort 1. She too has the watery sick and also has really watery poo. She is settled on the formula but the watery sick does cause problems as she has it all the time and ends up in many changes of clothes but I'm glad she is not being sick so much after feeding and she does seem more content. Its good to know that the watery sick is just something that goes with the milk.
