Advice and informationseems to be getting better...
hi!
My little girl is now 7 weeks old and im still struggling quite alot. but things do seem to be getting better.
Lucie Aurora has had colic but now she seems to actually sleep at night. she has a bottle about midnight and about 4.30am she eats in about 15 minutes and is asleep pretty much asleep again straight away so at least im getting alot more sleep now. but now she fusses and cries all day long! she wakes up about 6am for another bottle then sleeps until about 8.30 and then thats it she fusses and cries and screams hysterically all day until about 3pm when i finally manage to get her to sleep for about 3 hours. some days she doesnt even go down for this nap.
now im sure half the reason she is so angry/upset/fussy is because she is tired and fighting. it weird for me coz katie autumn didnt start doing this until she was about 4 months old but i kno all babies are different.
its like she has colic all day but i thought babies only got colic at night? or can they get it anytime of day?
i cant put her down without her screaming but at the same time i dont want to hold her too much because i want her to start getting used to being put down, maybe learn to self sooth. also i need to do house work and still pay my oldest attention its not fair on her.
at least its not at night anymore but its still making me feel like im losing my mind.
any suggestions??
xx
Hi Candice have you thought about a sling? Or a baby swing if you don't want her to get used to being carried around all the time - my sister in law had one and it really soothed her babies, her eldest had reflux too which made her really unsettled. Hope you are ok xxx
funny u say that i saw my hv yesterday n she thinks lucie has reflux taking her to drs to c today its horrible i know theres something not right with her its just figuring out what xx
hi candice
hope you get this sorted. reflux obviously isnt nice but at lesst if you get that diagnosis there is something you can do about it.
hope everything settles down soon. x
