Hi all,
I am experiencing such a horrible problem with my 6+1/2 month old baby boy and I wonder if anyone can suggest anything that could be causing the problem?
Basically, these last few days, I have really struggled with Jack as he is constantly crying and screaming as if he is in some kind of pain. I don't believe that he is teething at the moment because he isn't actually showing the 'teething' symptoms that he has shown in the past. He has been suffering with a little constipation, in which he is finding it much easier now that I am offering him more water and circling his legs as the doctor recommended, so I can't imagine that he isconstipated.
He is arching his back and screaming as if he is in pain and no matter what I do, it just doesn't cheer him up. He has never been like this before and I haven't got a clue as to what is going on. It's upsetting me because I have always understood what he needs and helped him out. I run out of things to check because I just do all the necessary checks, such as nappy, feeding, temperature, water/juice, naps, etc.
Whatever is wrong with him is keeping him awake, so I can only assume that he is experiencing a lot of pain somewhere, but I just don't know where! I am totally out of ideas and I am getting really upset because I don't like seeing him in pain.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Hazel xx
if it is constipation buy cow and gate pear and apple puree this keeps my baby regular
have you tried giving him calpol.? if it is contispation the puree will work. if he is still in pain in a few days return to the doctor
i would say go back to your docs.if it out of character to this degree something isn't right.we know whats "normal" and what isn't.at the end of the day that is what the docs are there for.
i know this isnt hugely helpful but i cant think of anything my daughter had that caused this reaction.when she became constipated she curled up and any other stomach or illness thats what she did.
