Advice and information

Find job or nursery first ? Need advice please

Hi everyone

I am signed off with PND after going back to work after my maternity, I think a part of it is because my job is so far away and takes me away from home too long in the day,,,,,,I lasted ONE DAY and a couple of panic attacks whilst there ! I now need ( after getting back on track with the pnd) to find a part time closer to home and also a nursery for possibly 2-3 days a week, my mum will have my son at least one day. I don't know where to start,,,,do I find a job then a nursery or find a nursery and they hold a place till I find a job ? I'm not sure how this works as I haven't really looked into it yet. My mum initially wanted to look after my son full time but he's such a handful I think one or two days a week is enough for her.
What do I do ??
Jo

HI hun, personally i would look at nurseries at the same time as a job, as you want to feel that you know there is a nursery around when you get a job if that makes sense??, Glad your back on track and ready to rejoin the work place, i', just coming of the anti d's myself so i wish us both luck xxxxxx

good luck both of you with getting over pnd, its good that you are considering going back to work too thats a positive step!
I have just got a job, i start next tuesday, and am having to send my daughter to the only available nursery at such short notice, which is costing only a few pounds less than what i am earning until i get mote hours sorted and tax credits (help with childcare costs) all sorted, so i dearly wish i had organised the nursery better and got a place reserved at a cheaper one months ago..the nursery she will have to go to is only guaruanteed a place for her for all of august, so god only knows whats going to happen from then on.. id say, get a place reserved at the nursery of your choice well in advance, its so much easier than what im having to do!! good luck hun x x x x
