Marchmy first baby due in march 2011
hi, i have just found out im pregnant with my first baby, very excited about this. would love some who is due around the same time as me to share all thoughts and feelings with as we will be going hrew the same stages at the same sort of time xx
CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!!
I am due (I think!) the 25th March with my second child. My first midwife appointment is not until 11th Aug which i think is shocking! Im assuming because its my second! Although im not any more relaxed about it! I had a bleed with my daughter and every time i go to the loo im expecting it again because im really crampy. Anyone else feel like this? i dont remember being crampy the 1st time.

Hi Mhairi,
That is a long time to wait to see the midwife. I am still waiting to hear about my appointment for the midwife. I have done 5 pregnancy tests (all possitive) because i'm so worried that they are wrong. I really thought the doctor would have done a test himself just to confirm i'm pregnant.
Everytime I get a belly cramp I keep thinking "Oh no" but nothing has happened. I just want everything confirmed with a midwife so I can try and relax a little.
Hope all goes well

Hi Mhairi & Keeley
I know what you mean about the midwife appointment, ours isn't until 23 Aug (when i'll be 9 weeks). At our doctors the only way they'll confirm pregnancy before then is by urine sample sent to a lab to test - we chose not to as we've already done 4 tests to confirm. They told us that due to the high miscarriage rate in the early weeks they don't bother with appointments until you are 9/10 weeks gone.
Also ref the cramps........ i've been getting them on and off since i was due on period but have been told this is perfectly normal. Just your uterus growing...... nothing to worry about.
Hope all goes well with you both

Hi Everyone, I just signed up today. "Congratulations" to everyone expecting.
I am due on the 27th March ( I worked this out myself). This is my first baby. I went to the doctors last Wednesday. I had such a bad experiance. I just felt he really wasn't at all interested. He filled out a form and told me to "Get the receptionist to fax it. He never asked me anything. I had to say "What happens now". I still haven't heard anything from him or the midwife is this normal??
I can't relax I just want confirm everything is ok!!

Hi to Everyone on here.
I am 5 weeks pregnant (6 weeks on Weds!!) Am really excited as it's my first, had nausea and just recently started feeling tired to the point of going to sleep for 1 hour each day. Have also had cramping and slight aches which i have found out is perfectly normal - thanks to Google! Have to admit not knowing what is normal and what is not is very frustrating especially when we are not due to see a midwife until 23 Aug...... seems so far away. Would love to talk to anyone as we advance into the pregnancy (especially if it helps calm down the nerves). In the meantime i wish everyone the best of luck in their pregnancies.
congrats to all the mummies. I am 6 weeks pregnant, my husband and I are very excited. We have been trying for a year now, its our first. Im due 26th March so still a long way to go. Ive had sore boobs, tiredness and feeling very nauseous!! Due to go on holiday in 2.5 weeks time very nervous about flying while pregnant but my doctor has reassured me. Does anyne know when I will first hear from midwife?? xx
