babies born Feb 2011

Hi everyone,
I'm just curious to know how all the babies that were due in February are, did they come on time, how much they weighed and how labour was. Wonder if any of us had babies born on the same day?

I was due 10th Feb with my 3rd baby. Suprisingly for me (as my two daughters were so late) my son came 5 days early on the 5th Feb.
Labour was unbelievably easy, mind you not pain free, but compared to my previous labours I couldn't believe how quick it was. I was convinced I had wind from jalepenos I had for dinner as the pain was just niggling. My waters went but were brown so painiced me I thought it was old blood, went to hospital in taxi on my own as my oh had to stay with the girls we have no family near (200 miles away). Hospital said it was thick meconium in my waters so became high risk, pain was really managable still. My mum travelled 3hours and made it in time. i had checks by doctors etc as baby's heart beat was falling, next thing is my body is seriously contracting and I had to push. After 3 pushes my son Luke was born weighing same as my 1st 8lb 9oz!! He was absolutely healthy and fine just had to be monitored for24hours. Then the silly midwife pulled the cord off my placenta! I was screwing at her cos I didn't want a section after I'd given birth!! Got it out luckily. The cord had a huge knot in it also.
That's my birth story what about eveyone else? Hope you and your bundles of joy are well I look forward to hearing from you x

hello :) i had alfie on the 5th february and his due date was the 6th february (the little monkey couldnt wait a day longer lol). labour wasnt too bad. although not pain free.

my waters broke on the wednesday but it was only like a trickle. i didnt find out that they had broke until the next day. so they said if nothing has happened by sunday then they were going to induce me. so me and my partner were really nervous but excited at trhe same time. so it got the thursday evening. around 11.00pm and i was getting really bad period like pains, so phoned the hospital and told them what was wrong and everything and the said yeah your in slow labour. so we knew it wasnt long till we get to meet our little person.

it got to the friday and i was contracting quite bad by 5.30pm, ervery 5mins. so phoned the hospital again and the said take some paracetamol, have a hot bath and leave it an hour then phone us back. so phonbed them back and they said come in and we'll see whats going on. so went in and they said i was getting the pain after the contraction had gone. so the kept me in and sent my partner home. then at about 1.00am i was contracting ever 3mins. so wasnt going to be long before our little baby is here. the contractions got reallty bad at 2am and i had to push. it took 4 hours and 39 mins of me pushing before alfie was born. and out he came at 6-39am weighing 7lb 5oz :). and perfectly healthy he was. well a little bit jaundice he was.

just a shame he couldnt wait another day lol. but not bad going for my first :) xx

Hiya!

I had my little girl Phoebe on the 24th of February, 9 days late, weighing 7lbs 6ozs, she's my first.
I started getting pains at 9.30am on the 23rd, which quickly became alot stronger and faster. Come 11am they were every 3 mins lasting 1,30secs! Managed to stay home until 11.45pm that night when I finally couldn't take it anymore! Had my check and I was only 5cm, so they broke my waters to speed things up,a nd like you, I had very thick meconium, so I also became high risk. As the labour progressed, Phoebe's heart stopped beating at around 3.10am, so before I knew it, literally 30 people appeared in the room and I was taken straight to surgery, which luckily my partner was able to come and see too. By 3.39am Phoebe was born, but she was very quiet. We didn't even get to see her as she was whicked straight off to SCBU to get her stomach pumped, and then was on monitoring for 24hours, which turned to 6 days as her breathing was so fast and she had to have anti biotics in the SCBU twice a day :( My wound also then went sceptic and got real sore! A week after having her we finally got to go home, which was amazing because hospitals are too much for a day let alone a week! arrgh!

Shes very healthy now and a very content little bean!

Would I do it again? ... Damn right! :D

Hope all Mummys & Little-uns are well!

god i bet that scared the life out of you! :(. my lo was just being stubborn and didnt wanna come out lol until they said they were gonna induce me as my waters had broke and i was getting contractions but he wouldnt budge! but luckily he cam out all healthy well like i said apart from the jaundice.

we had to go back into hospital when he was 5days old because when we went to see the midwife for a 5day check up he went down to 6lb 6oz :(. i was breast feeding at the time. so we found out at the hospital that i wern't producing it quick enough for him. so now we bottle feed him and now at 14weeks weighs 13lb 8oz :)

Hi My baby girl was born 2 weeks late. I was meant to be induced but had already been getting irregular contractions and had dilated 3cm so ended up only having my waters broke. I opted for the epidural which was heaven once it had been done.I was in labour for 11 hours and dilated to 6cm but my baby then became stressed. She was delivered through emergency c-section at 03:28am on 28th Feb 2011 weighing 9lb 120z.... she was a big baby girl.
We had already decided to name her Leanna which we both love. She was smiling at 2 weeks of age so when people say "it's just wind" it isn't lol she is growing up to be a gorgeous, cheeky, happy baby girl and has been as good as gold from the day she was born. Our gift from God :o)

Hello, just found this bi on the forum, there are so many pages.
My baby girl was born 7th february, 1 week over due.
I went for a check up was getting pre eclampsia, and was told i was already in labour, 4cms dilated, it was 9.30 am, she came out 9.50pm.
It was not bad at all, the pain came around 5pm, sadly my contractions started to back track, was having 4 every minute and then they were coming 3 every 2 minutes, midwife couldn't believe it.
Ended pushing her out without contractions. They started talking about forceps, and i said to myself Fxxxx, no way, she is coming out right now.
She is absolutly gorgeous. 8 months now.
