Help!!!!! I feel like a single mum :(

My daughter is 10 weeks old and she doesnt sleep very well in the daytime at all, she is awake from 7.30am till 4.30pm and very needy and sobby!! I take her long walks to stop her crying and never have time to eat in the day or even have a bath!! My partner works 8am till 5.30pm gets home, has a shower and waits for me to make tea while he plays on the laptop, my day from 4.30pm till my daughter wakes again at 7.30pm is cleaning and making bottles, ironing her clothes ect. My partner doesnt do any feeds or make any bottles or do any housework, he changes her nappy at 7.30 and 10.30pm (unless she has had a poo) hes never given her a bath or wash or even changed her clothes :( he goes out with his friends on a sat and sunday ( as these are HIS days off???) Im so tired and constantly in tears, am i expecting too much of him to do the 7.30pm feed so i can have a nap?? Advice needed please as i feel like im heading towards a nervous breakdown!! Im 27 years old and partner 28!!!

I feel for you...and no, you are not expecting too much. Maybe you need to have a talk to your partner, explain how you feel...it might be possible that he thinks everything is okay with how he is contributing to bringing up baby...don't be afraid to ask for help from him, also your health visitor will advise you on sleep patterns. Instead of ironing when babies asleep, take a nap. Do you have a friend or relative who can help out to take baby off your hands for a couple of hours?....It does get easier, but you do need to talk to your partner, and don't let things get to you, it will work out in the end. Good luck.

oh I really feel for you,I think you should have a little chat with your other half, you can't be expected to do everything, do you have any relatives that live near by that could look after LO for you so you can have a break during the day? there are always mother and baby groups running too, sometimes it helps to talk to mums who have babies of a similar age and might be going through the same as you, I hope things work out for you and are feeling better soon xx
