DecemberWorried I am going to get snowed in whilst in labour :{
Hi,
I am due on 14th December and can't help but stressing that I am going to go into labour whilst all this snow is around, I am currently snowed in with 2 ft of snow outside not one person in my street has been able to get their cars out and all taxi services have been closed. How on earth am i supposed to get to hospital 10 miles from my house as i am so not having a home birth on my own!!
Hi
I am due tomorrow and me and my husband have said the same thing.He has spent most of the afternoon clearing the back lane so we can get the van out of the garage.He has even put rock salt down.
We have said if we need to ring an ambulance we will have to ring one. At the end of the day that is what they are there for.
Try not to panic hopefully the snow will be long gone before you go into labour .xx
Hi, try not to get to stressed and panic about it the prospect of going into labour is bad enough!! My baby is due 29 December (my 2nd) If the roads are clear we will head to hospital allowing more time than usual (normally 30minutes drive). If the roads are blocked and dangerous I will just call an ambulance and they will either take us to hospital or send someone to the house (although I will only let them in if they have gas and air LOL!!) I would rather be at home in the warm than stuck in a car!! You will be fine just go with it!! Who knows it could be all gone tomorrow! xx
