Octobercows milk
My grandson is 19 months old & has got thrush on his bottom. He has just recently started to drink full fat cows milk. Any other mums out there had the same problem. We havn't changed washing powders, wipes or nappies so at a loss to what's caused this. Nanna N

Hello, my name is Fae and I am one of the mums from the Careline. I am sorry to hear your grandson has got a sore bottom. Depending on what milk he had previously to the cows milk, it may the change in digesting something new and if he is possibly passing stools more often or if the consistency has changed this can sometimes irritate the skin more than usual and cause problems. It if is thrush as you have metioned, then this is caused by a yeast infection and would need treatment from the GP, so I would suggest for maybe Mum or Dad, to make an appointment and let the doctor have a look at it. If it is not thrush they may also be able to prescribe a good cream to help clear it up. I hope this may help.
