  • 200g minced beef
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 420g tinned, chopped tomatoes
  • 180g-240g mushrooms (optional)
  • 1tbsp tomato purée
  • 1tsp mixed herbs
  • 2tbsp cooking oil
  • Spaghetti


  1. Chop onions and mushrooms.
  2. Heat oil and fry onions with herbs until tender.
  3. Add minced beef and stir until the meat has turned a light brown colour.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, tomato purée and chopped mushrooms.
  5. Stir until thoroughly mixed, cover and simmer on a low heat for approx. 20 mins, stirring occasionally. 
  6. Cook spaghetti according to packet.
  7. Gently mash everything into a smooth purée and serve. 


  • Stick to natural tastes rather than adding sugar or salt.
  • Start by feeding a small amount and watch your baby’s reaction.
  • Choose a familiar, relaxed location with few distractions, and a time when your baby isn’t tired or too hungry.
