Pear yogurt

  • 1 pear
  • Approx. 100ml water reserved after cooking
  • 1 tbsp natural yogurt


  1. Peel, core and chop the pear.
  2. Place pear in a pan and cover with water, replace lid and allow to simmer for 6-7 mins on a medium heat. Alternatively you can steam for 6-7 mins.
  3. Drain and purée the pear, adding the cooking water to achieve a smooth consistency.
  4. Cool and mix a small amount (to taste) with 1 tbsp of natural yogurt. 


  • Stick to natural tastes rather than adding sugar or salt.
  • Start by feeding a small amount and watch your baby’s reaction.
  • Choose a familiar, relaxed location with few distractions, and a time when your baby isn’t tired or too hungry.
